The Abubakr Masjid, also called the Alfalaah Masjid, was established in the year 2017 as a Muslla’ah and started offering five daily prayers in a room situated inside a building. Later, the mosque was expanded and a dedicated space was built in Govanhill, Glasgow, which can accommodate over 300 worshippers. The mosque works in collaboration with other mosques throughout the city to represent and support Muslims from diverse backgrounds.

This particular mosque is known for its unique policies, such as providing free entry for people of all ages, including children. The mosque has a dedicated play area for children to play while their parents attend prayers. The Abubakr Masjid is open for daily prayers and the main hall can be used for reading the Quran during the day.

One of the unique features of this mosque is that it is the first masjid in Glasgow to be named after a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (saw). The companions of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) are highly revered by Muslims worldwide for their selfless sacrifices in spreading the message of Islam.
